Photographs entered for this years competition will be judged for relevant usage in the Society's 2020 Calendar.

  1. We will be looking for natural history photographs (flora, fauna or landscapes) which have been taken by members in Great Britain over the last couple of years and photographs will also be judged for their quality and seasonal relevance.
  2. Please submit a full caption for each image including date taken we can then, if necessary, assign it to the appropriate month of the year.
  3. The last date for sending in your entries will be Sunday 3rdNOVEMBER 2019

  5. Each member is allowed to enter up to a maximum of 8 photographs.
  6. There will be 3 judges, namely, Graham Bateman, Jackie Hudson and Steve Stevens
  7. The judges’ favourite photograph will be used on the cover of the calendar and the member submitting that particular photograph will receive a complimentary copy of the calendar and a gift voucher.
  8. All photographs will be displayed at the November meeting and members will be able select ONE favourite from each of FIVE categories- 1) BIRDS, 2)ANIMALS, 3)INSECTS, 4)PLANTS &FUNGI, 5) LANDSCAPE & GENERAL INTEREST photographs. These Members Favourites photographs will also appear in the Calendar.

    By submitting your photographs for this competition, you agree that the images can be used in the Society' 2020 Calendar and/or possibly in any presentations at indoor meetings or on our website. Your photograph may be cropped to fit the parameters of the calendar or for subsequent presentation. Copyright is of course retained by the photographer, who will be acknowledged whenever the image is used.
