Ashy Mining Bee

This rather nice mining bee with pure white downy mufflers was quartering our lawn esterday, I presumed that it was looking for somewhere to mine. I saw it previously in our garden in 2018. It was also attracted to the flowers on our rosemary bush and appears in the photo to have collected lots of pollen. The Field Guide to Bees by S Falk & R Lewington, states that it is "occasionally found in gardens" but is "surprisingly adaptable". I hope it is adaptable enough to find a home in our unkempt lawn!
